The Bowling Green Independent School District Board of Education on Aug. 4 approved personnel actions that included increasing a classified employee's daily hours, creating a new District Data Engineer position, and recording multiple hires, transfers and resignations.
Vice Chair Lisa Allen moved and Member Cierra Waller seconded approval of the personnel position items as presented. The motion carried with all members voting yes.
Specific actions recorded in the minutes include increasing Stacy Stumbo's DPP Assistant hours from 7 to 7.5 effective July 1, 2025; creating a District Data Engineer position in the Technology Department effective Aug. 6, 2025; and hiring or transferring A number of staff with effective dates listed (for example, Olivia Martin, teacher at Parker-Bennett-Curry, effective Aug. 6, 2025; Tommy Freeman, Maintenance Technician/Electrician, effective Aug. 4, 2025). The minutes also list resignations including Lian Bawi (Custodian) effective Aug. 13, 2025 and others whose effective dates are included in the personnel section.
In a separate item filed under KRS 160.390(2), the superintendent notified the board of completed personnel actions since the July meeting; the notification is recorded in the minutes and lists the hires, transfers and resignations by name and effective date. The meeting record does not include additional discussion of the personnel items.
