BGISD approves broad set of personnel actions, hires and resignations

At the July 21 meeting the Bowling Green Independent School District Board of Education approved a broad set of personnel actions recommended by the superintendent, including leaves of absence, transfers, non‑renewals, retirements, resignations and dozens of new hires and seasonal positions.

The actions matter because they determine staff assignments and roles for the upcoming school year across academic, classified and extracurricular positions.

The packet lists a leave of absence for James Spray (Maintenance Technician) for July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026; certified-day increases for guidance counselors Amanda Warder and Caroline Graff; creation and deletion of various track coaching positions and other classified roles; a reduced DPP Assistant schedule; and a long list of personnel notifications required by KRS 160.390(2) including retirements, resignations, transfers and new employment.
