The Leon Valley Planning and Zoning Commission opened a public hearing on a proposed replat for Seneca Trails but took no action after the applicant requested a 30-day extension.
Melinda Huerta, a city planning staff member, told the commission, “The applicant has requested a 30-day extension for this request.” She said the item had been noticed in the newspaper and therefore required that the public hearing be opened despite the requested delay.
The replat application covers about 1.6 acres and would establish right-of-way in County Block 4430 in the City of Leon Valley, Bexar County, and includes portions of Lots 1 and 2 of the Grass Hill Estates subdivision. The proposal also seeks removal of 14-foot and 28-foot gas, electric, telephone and cable-television utility easements as shown on the submitted plat, which the agenda referenced as recorded in Bexar County plat records (Volume 20003, Page 1262). The property was described in meeting materials as located at 6530 Samaritan Drive.
The chair opened the public portion of the hearing at 6:34 p.m.; no members of the public spoke, and the chair then closed the public portion. Because the applicant asked for more time, the commission did not vote on the replat and the item will return to a future meeting for consideration.
The commission took no formal motion or vote on the replat at the meeting; staff indicated the item will be placed on the next month’s agenda so the commission can consider it after the requested extension period elapses.
Background: The agenda packet included a legal description of the proposed off-site improvements and the referenced plat record. No additional staff reports, engineering plans, or public comments were recorded in the hearing transcript for this item.
