Board approves tentative 2025–26 working budgets and $8.4 million in warrants

The Daviess County Board of Education approved its 2025–26 tentative working budgets and accepted the Treasurer’s Report for the month ended April 30, 2025, during its May 15 meeting. The treasurer’s report showed a General Fund balance of $44,198,051.44 as of April 30 after $6,972,234.52 in expenditures for the month and total receipts of $5,561,363.98. The board also approved warrants totaling $8,397,992.31, which included payroll of $3,567,389.60 and fund-specific expenditures described in the packet. Order #141 to approve the 2025–26 tentative working budgets passed by a 5-0 vote on a motion by Mr. Frank Riney, seconded by Mrs. Tammy Rice. The agenda packet notes the district must submit the tentative working budget to the Kentucky Department of Education by May 31, 2025.
