Garrard County Fiscal Court on Aug. 11 voted unanimously to authorize Judge/Executive Chris Elleman to complete and file an application for up to $82,524 under the Government Resources Accelerating Needed Transformation (GRANT) program of 2024, as provided through House Bill 723. Montie Major and Michael Murphy of the Bluegrass Area Development District presented the resolution and said the authorization includes executing documents deemed necessary by the Cabinet for Economic Development and acting as the county’s authorized correspondent on disbursements.
