The Athens City Board of Education approved its consent agenda on Aug. 11, 2025, a package that included a $78,392.67 bid from Crockett Construction to replace the Central Office roof, approval of the 2025–2026 Disciplinary Hearing Authority (DHA), tenure for a tenured transfer employee and athletic schedules for Athens City Middle School.

The consent agenda was presented by Board Chairman Chris Adams. On a motion by Johnny Coffman and a second by Emily Forrest, the board approved the full consent agenda; the minutes state only that the motion carried. The board had earlier approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Stan Harrison and a second by Beth Jackson.

Included in the consent items were the minutes of the July 10, 2025, regular meeting and quarterly financial reports for General Purpose, Federal Projects and Food Service for the period ending June 30, 2025.
