The Sellersburg Redevelopment Commission unanimously approved its minutes and claims register Aug. 4 and authorized a $975 amendment to JNC Landscaping for work related to Camp Run and trees along American Way.
Commission member Michael Richardson moved to accept the minutes as written and the commission recorded a roll-call vote in favor. Later, the commission approved the claims register; that motion was made by Doug Bridal and seconded by Michael Richardson, and a roll-call vote was recorded 5-0.
On a separate motion Commissioner Michael Richardson moved to approve a $975 amendment to JNC Landscaping to cover additional work at Camp Run and along American Way; the roll-call vote on that amendment was also 5-0. The meeting packet and fund reports show several landscaping claims related to JNC: a $1,750 charge for July mowing, an application charge of $470, and a seed/mowing charge listed as $3,025. Commissioners and staff discussed applying some pending claims to the appropriate TIF appropriations and reconciling those amounts before year-end.
The approvals were routine and were taken to keep the commission’s appropriations and payables current; staff said they are preparing an end-of-year spending plan and continuing to reconcile claims that have been approved but not yet applied to appropriations.
