The Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy unanimously approved multiple original CPA licenses, reciprocal licenses and firm permits at its May 16 meeting.
Motion to approve the lists was made by Bill Kelly, seconded by Willie Sims, and the minutes record unanimous approval for each named applicant and firm permit presented. Original CPA licenses approved included Anna Beachum Arnold (8674) and others; reciprocal licenses approved included Stanford Fenton Beauchamp (R8659) and others. Initial firm permits approved included Berman Hopkins Wright & Laham CPAs and Associates, LLP (8665) and additional firms; reinstatements approved included Ernst & Young LLP (F1247) and other firms.
Staff reported that since the March 20 meeting they had approved 113 candidate applications (10 initial, 103 reexam) for 153 sections of the CPA examination; the Board accepted exam grades for Quarter 1 by motion of Bill Kelly, seconded by Richard Bullock.
These approvals are routine licensing and firm-permit actions recorded in the minutes. The minutes list each applicant and firm with the Board’s unanimous action; no recorded dissent or conditions were attached to the approvals.
Board staff will update the licensing database and notify successful applicants and firms per standard procedure.
