Board approves overnight trips for OCCHS band and baseball teams

The Obion County Board of Education voted Sept. 2 to approve three overnight field trips for Obion County Central High School.
On Director Tim Watkins' recommendation, the board approved the following: OCCHS Band to Smyrna, Tenn., Nov. 1–2, 2025; OCCHS Band to Memphis, Tenn., Feb. 12–14, 2026; and OCCHS Baseball to Gulf Shores, Ala., March 15–20, 2026. Jared Poore made the motion and Barry Adams seconded it. MOTION CARRIED.
The minutes list trip dates and destinations but do not include cost per student, chaperone ratios, or transportation providers. The board approved the trips as part of the consent to authorize overnight travel for extracurricular activities.
