Mississippi Board of Nursing elects officers, approves minutes and accepts finance report

At its June 6, 2025 meeting in Ridgeland, the Mississippi Board of Nursing unanimously elected officers for its leadership slate, approved prior meeting minutes and accepted its Finance Committee report.
Sandra Culpepper was re-elected president of the Mississippi Board of Nursing on June 6, 2025, as the board unanimously approved its agenda, minutes from previous meetings and the Finance Committee report.
The board opened its general business meeting at 11:08 a.m. in Ridgeland. The board voted unanimously to adopt the meeting agenda. Following a nominations committee vote, the board elected Sandra Culpepper as president, Lacey Gentry as treasurer and Jeremy Cummins as secretary.
The board then unanimously approved the minutes of the April 11, 2025 General Business Meeting, the May 14, 2025 Retreat and minutes memorializing determinations of the February 2025 hearing panel. The Finance Committee report was presented and accepted by unanimous vote.
No members of the public were present in person at the meeting. All procedural motions noted above passed by unanimous vote as recorded in the board minutes.
Less-critical housekeeping items concluded before the board moved on to substantive program, compliance and policy items later in the session.
