Mississippi Board of Nursing approves agenda revision, minutes and committee reports

The Mississippi Board of Nursing convened Feb. 7, 2025, in Ridgeland and unanimously approved a revised agenda that moved Item 2.3 before Item 2.1. The motion to approve the agenda was made by Jeremy Cummins and seconded by Lacey Gentry.
The board then unanimously approved the minutes of the Dec. 6, 2024, General Business Meeting and the Hearing Panel’s December 2024 Agreed Settlement Proposal minutes and October 2024 minutes. Those motions were made and seconded by board members on the record.
On new business, the board unanimously accepted the Practical Nursing Education Report presented by Dr. Priscilla Burks; the motion was made by Jeremy Cummins and seconded by Nancy Johnson. The Finance Committee report was accepted unanimously on a motion by Lacey Gentry and a second by Nancy Johnson.
The minutes note that the board office was open for public participation but that no members of the public were present in person. There being no further business, the board voted unanimously to adjourn on a motion by Jeremy Cummins and a second by Beverly Oliver.
