The Obion County Board of Education approved an update Sept. 2 to add an Administrative Procedure allowing support staff, including central office support staff, up to 10 school weather cancellation days forgiven each year.

Director Tim Watkins explained the proposed Staff Weather Policy and recommended it be codified as an Administrative Procedure. The board voted to approve the change on Watkins' recommendation; the motion to approve was made by Keisha Hooper and seconded by Shannon Graham. MOTION CARRIED.

Watkins told the board the forgiven days apply to "all support staff, including Central Office support staff" and that the change would be added to Administrative Procedure.
