Warren County approves multiple contracts including $4.94M road resurfacing award and communications maintenance deals

The Warren County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 26 approved a slate of procurement actions and contract awards covering road resurfacing, communications maintenance, event services and other county needs.
The largest single award at the meeting was Resolution 120-25, an award to Riverview Paving of Hackettstown for $4,943,323.88 for the 2022 resurfacing and rehabilitation of multiple county routes in several municipalities; the award is subject to final concurrence by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The board also approved professional services and contract modifications, including Colliers Engineering & Design for Snyder’s Road survey and final design at a value shown in the resolution as $125,250.00; Van Cleef Engineering Associates for inspection services on multiple resurfacing projects ($86,450.00 award noted and additional contract modification of $8,000 to raise a contract to $28,000.00); and an award to Riverview and related construction inspection agreements noted in the minutes.
Communications and technology contracts approved included a preventative maintenance contract to TuWay Communications for $213,240.00 per year (Resolution 128-25) and an extension of microwave radio maintenance with TuWay Wireless for approximately $48,418.00 (Resolution 127-25). The board authorized a purchase order to RingCentral, Inc. for annual telephone maintenance and support at $162,684.00 (Resolution 123-25).
Other items approved included an event services contract with MES Event Services LLC for $99,680.00 for the Warren County bicentennial event (Resolution 117-25), a change order on the new Human Services Building contract with De Sapio Construction increasing the final contract by $5,131.65 to $3,569,341.14 (Resolution 129-25), and a painting and repair purchase order under cooperative pricing with Hygrade Insulators, Inc. for $63,285.00 (Resolution 131-25).
The board also approved lease awards for county farmland to Sueed Farms LLC and to Maureen Markey-Ferris for two separate county properties with annual rents recorded at $3,675.00 and $1,200.00 respectively (Resolutions 125-25 and 126-25). All listed resolutions passed by recorded unanimous votes.
