The Bristol Tennessee Board of Education voted Aug. 18 to move consideration of the Melrose Street property resolution to a later meeting after a subsidiary motion to reschedule won 3-2. Board member Jim Butcher offered a subsidiary motion to move the Melrose Street Property Resolution to either a special called meeting before Aug. 31 or the next regular meeting on Sept. 15, citing a need for more time for due diligence; Debbie Darnell seconded the subsidiary motion. Voting for the subsidiary motion were Debbie Darnell, Jim Butcher and Eric Cuddy. Charlie Taylor and Jennifer Henson voted no. The subsidiary motion carried, and the Melrose Street Property Resolution was postponed.
