The Somerset County Board of Commissioners added an award of contract to Pave Right Inc. for the Washington Valley Park access road at its Sept. 9 work session. The contract price was listed as not to exceed $946,496.30.

A commissioner asked when paving would begin if the contract were awarded immediately. A county staff member said the contractor would start work after contracts and insurance were in place but cautioned, “I don't know if they'll get the paving done this year depending on the weather,” and that paving “might have to be done in the spring.”
