The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners gave conditional acceptance Sept. 2 to roads constructed in the Pine View Estates subdivision, noting that required improvements on County Road 3800 remain unfinished and must be completed before warranty periods and final sign-off commence.

Staff said a mix-up between two engineering sets led the contractor to build roads according to plans that lacked the required improvements on 3800. Inspections and testing on the internal subdivision roads are complete and houses are nearing certificates of occupancy, but the county will withhold final warranty activation until the 3800 updates are finished.

Commissioners and staff discussed utility coordination; moving a recently installed power pole was noted as pending coordination with the utility company. A motion to approve conditional road acceptance was made, seconded and approved by roll call. Staff said homes may receive temporary or final certificates of occupancy for units meeting inspection standards but county acceptance remains conditional on the off-site work.
