The Tri-County Planning Commission approved a variance that allows petitioner Corey O'Donnell to place a new garage 34 feet from the centerline of Wildwood Drive, 16 feet closer than the R-1 district standard (case 25-04b).
Commissioners said removing an existing retaining wall and shifting parking will improve driveway access and make winter plowing easier. The road commissioner had no objection to the proposal. Commissioners noted the lot’s topography and limited alternatives made the requested variance the practical option.
Commissioner McClanahan moved to accept the findings of fact and Lapsley seconded. The motion passed on a roll call; recorded votes in the transcript show unanimous approval. The variance was approved and will be followed by any required building permits and inspections.
