Council approves 5.72% pay increase for city secretary, effective Sept. 1

The Liberty Hill City Council on Aug. 27 approved a 5.72% salary increase for City Secretary Elaine Simpson, effective Sept. 1, 2025. The motion, approved 6–0 after executive-session personnel deliberations, included the 3% cost-of-living adjustment that the council had approved earlier and specified no additional COLA adjustment in January 2026.
