Dean Draghi (presenting) and Heather (Society representative) described the facility as a modest maintenance/storage building to support ongoing care of museum structures across the society’s campus, including the Bryant Church Museum. Shelby and other staff reviewed placement options and suggested screening and siting that would minimize visual impact to the museum experience.
Board members said the mockup elevations and screening options appeared acceptable and that staff should work with the society on final materials and color choices. The board did not take a vote; staff indicated the Society would submit a certificate of appropriateness and that, if the board’s preliminary feedback held, staff could approve the final COA administratively rather than requiring a return hearing.
