Township High School District 211 voted to approve an agreement with Creative Culture Consulting to provide up to four days of summer professional development for co‑teaching pairs, and ongoing classroom coaching during the school year, at a total cost of $167,900 to be funded from the IDEA grant professional development allocation.
Superintendent Lisa Small told the board the consulting will support co‑teaching pairs in curriculum development, collaborative lesson planning, classroom management, equitable access to rigorous coursework, and will extend coaching to district instructional coaches and technology coordinators to sustain the practices. The contract includes summer sessions and follow‑up classroom visits and individualized coaching.
The motion passed on a recorded roll call. Board members asked no substantive follow‑up questions during the item; administration and staff will implement the professional development program and provide updates as the initiative proceeds.
