The Rockford Public Schools Board of Education approved a closed-session consent agenda that included several personnel appointments and an HR organizational report.
The appointments approved by the board were recorded in the closed-session consent items as follows: Kristen Schrader as a 12-month executive director of special education assigned to the Administration Building; Sarah Kurpias as a 12-month special education program non-certified administrator assigned to the Administration Building; Jocelyn James as a 10-month dean assigned to Kennedy Bridal School; Bailey Reese as a 10-month dean assigned to Bridal Middle School; and Katie Clark as a 10-month assistant principal assigned to Guilford High School. The board also approved a workers-compensation settlement and non-bargaining compensation for fiscal 2025-26 as listed on the closed-session consent agenda.
A motion and second to approve the closed-session consent items were made and the items were approved by a unanimous roll-call vote: Miss Haley, Miss Stanford, Miss Pearson, Miss Chavez, Miss McCall, Miss Bennett and Mister Carpenter all recorded "Yes." The board president announced the motion passed unanimously.
The board did not discuss these appointments in public; the items were part of the closed-session consent block approved during the meeting.
