Jefferson County commissioners approved renewal of the county’s Cityworks contract for planning and zoning support at $37,500.
Milton of Planning and Zoning and other staff described ongoing implementation of the software. Staff said the county is using the system for permitting and compliance and has added several cities to the platform. They noted work remaining, including configuring planning modules and training or contracting for the report-writing tool that the vendor uses.
Commissioners approved the renewal by motion and roll call. Staff said they will continue implementation, train additional staff, and consider options for report writing and configuration support.
