Commissioners approve claims and several contracts, release subdivision bonds

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners voted to approve county claims totaling $628,745.32 for the period Feb. 27–March 7, 2025, and took a series of additional routine votes during its March 10 meeting.

Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to approve the claims list. The board then considered a set of other motions, including a contract with a third-party mailing vendor for assessor notices, release of two subdivision surety bonds, approval of concession/vendor agreements for county events, and a staff PTO donation request.

The board approved an agreement with Billing Document Specialist to handle mailing of assessor notices; county staff said the contract offers a lower postage rate and online e-filing access for parcel owners. The board also voted to release a surety bond for Stillwater Ranch subdivision and to release the security bond for County Line Commercial Park Division 2 after staff confirmed required infrastructure had been accepted.

Park vendors were approved as part of the same meeting sequence: the license agreement with Tropical Snow and a concessions agreement with La Mexicana were moved, seconded and approved. Separately, a request to transfer 60 hours of paid time off from three employees to a new employee was approved; the motion listed specific employee numbers in the record.
