The Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 26 approved an amendment extending the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between Boulder County and the Town of Lyons for the Lyons Area Comprehensive Development Plan to Nov. 28, 2025.
Hannah Hippley, Long Range Planning Division manager, said the Board of Trustees of the Town of Lyons approved the extension at its meeting and staff asked the county to mirror the amended timeline. Commissioners voted to accept the extension; staff said a signed copy of the amended agreement would be returned to the county for signature and record.
No substantive changes to the plan content were on the agenda; the action extended the IGA timeline to allow additional work and coordination between the town and county before a final action.
