The Tadpole County Board approved an intergovernmental agreement to provide computer-assisted mass appraisal software to township assessors, the board was told.
Jones, a supervisor in the assessor's office, explained the item as a formality: "Basically, this is a formality. The county is using a new camera software to do all of our sketching and valuing their properties," Jones said, describing that township associates will use the software to collect sketch and valuation information while the county pays for the software license.
Board members moved and seconded the recommendation and later approved the agreement by voice vote. An initial recommendation motion was made by Kim and seconded by Max; a final motion to approve was made by Jay and seconded by Nancy. The transcript records a voice vote with members answering "aye" and no recorded opposition.
County staff confirmed the county state's attorney had reviewed and signed the agreement before the vote. The agreement creates a contract framework between the county and each individual township for use of the appraisal software; it does not, in itself, change assessment methodology beyond providing a new software tool.
The approval was recorded as part of routine business; no additional budget figures were cited during the explanation and no amendments were made on the floor.
