Board approves $699,876.43 in bills, personnel actions and adopts academic standards for 2025–26

The Board of Education on July 14, 2025 approved routine and business items including minutes, vendor payments and personnel recommendations and adopted the district’s student academic standards for the 2025–26 school year.

The board approved general and other fund bills — checks numbered 155594 through 155675, wire numbers and ACH batches listed in the board packet — in the combined amount of $699,876.43. The business office provided a memo in the packet noting several large one‑time costs at the start of the fiscal year. Earl of the business office summarized the check and wire ranges for the board.

The board also approved personnel recommendations that included resignations and appointments. The transcript lists resignations from Samantha Gross (fourth‑grade teacher), Jenna Marshall Pausch (special‑education teaching assistant at Westside), Jamie Christman (special‑education teaching assistant, 4K), and Robert Pido (high‑school assistant baseball coach). Appointments included Heather Schwartz to a cook position at Tibbett School (replacing Rachel Trinkle) and Paul Jacobson as a high‑school assistant football coach. The board’s motion approving the personnel list made appointments conditional upon passing background checks and district‑mandated drug screening.

By motion the board adopted the district student academic standards for the 2025–26 school year and directed the district administrator to issue a public notice of those standards. The board stated adoption is “pursuant to . . . state statutes” as cited during the meeting and that, to the presenters’ knowledge, the standards had not changed since the previous year.

The board also approved the revised cocurricular code of conduct at second reading after the board president said no additional questions were raised since the first reading.
