Board approves library board reappointment and names county representative to airport master‑plan advisory committee

Amber Baca presented the Lupinetti reappointment and said the library advisory board has seven members, five in the city and two county representatives; the mayor nominates the city‑resident member and the county provides advice on the county resident seat. Commissioners asked whether the city had requested additional county funding for library services; Baca said she was not aware of recent requests. Commissioner Justin Green disclosed a personal connection: his wife serves on The Food Depot board, and he and his business donate to the nonprofit — a disclosure during an earlier agenda item but noted during commission discussion generally.

For the airport master‑plan PAC, the county manager’s office recommended Herbert Foster, planning team lead in Growth Management, with Public Works staff (Ryan Ward, Travis Soderquist) available to support channel‑specific issues. Commissioners asked for regular updates from Foster because flight‑path and airport impacts draw neighborhood interest. The commission approved both appointments by voice vote.
