The Williamson County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution presented by the Williamson County Farm Bureau recognizing the role of agriculture in the county economy and endorsing the Farm Bureau’s Friends of Agriculture initiative.
Lance Martin, Williamson County Farm Bureau manager, introduced the group and described the resolution’s intent to raise awareness of agriculture’s economic contribution and importance to local food supply. Tom Miller, county Farm Bureau president, and other Farm Bureau representatives attended and spoke in support.
A motion to adopt Resolution No. 25‑09‑09‑63 carried on roll call. Commissioners voiced support for agriculture and said they would revisit agricultural metrics periodically.
