The city manager introduced the presentation and turned the floor to Sandoval for the demonstration. Officials encouraged residents to use the quick-text method at public events and to check the city website’s alert-signup link.
Sandoval and staff framed the system as a communication tool for timely responses to weather events, infrastructure outages and urgent public-safety notices. No formal action or vote was recorded on the item during the meeting.
A short technical demonstration and the sign-up instructions were shown live at the meeting; city staff said the system is ready for use.
