City manager outlines Archer Energy gas aggregation plan and opt‑out process

City Manager informed the Marine City Council and the public on Aug. 28 that residents will receive letters from Archer Energy informing them of activation of a municipal gas aggregation program.
The city manager said the fixed rate will be $0.6625 per CCF, that the program will begin with the Nov. 2025 billing (service activation in October/November 2025) and will run through May 2027. Participation will be automatic; residents may opt out by following the instructions on the letter, by phone or online. The city manager emphasized that residents may opt out at any time if they choose and may opt back in later, and that there are no penalties or fees for opting in or out during the program period.
The manager also noted the aggregation effort covers gas only and is part of a broader joint action among approximately 19 jurisdictions participating through the Miami Valley Communications Council. City staff invited residents with questions to contact the city manager’s office for more information.
