The City Council authorized a renewal and expansion of the consulting agreement with Maguire Consulting Services LLC to continue grant-writing services and to add economic-development duties for another 12 months.
City staff presented the consultant’s year-to-date accomplishments and said the work has led to successful grant activity; staff also said a new grant will fund the expanded services. The manager said the renewal is fully covered by the grant and does not require local general-fund dollars.
Council approved the agreement on a roll call. The contract will continue to be administered by city staff and must meet grant deliverables; staff said they will monitor outcomes and report back to council as required by the grant terms.
