Mahoning County commissioners on Aug. 7 approved a series of agreements covering building repairs and home-rehabilitation work.
Staff presented five agreements (letters A through E) for board approval. The items approved included:
- An agreement with Harvey's Floor Covering for replacement floor covering on the fifth and sixth floors of the Administration Building in the amount of $14,830.69 (general funds).
- An agreement with AMN Door and Supply Inc. for door replacement at the Justice Center in the amount of $4,141 (general funds).
- Two Healthy Homes / hazard control agreements with Howland Company LLC for work at 2408 Russell ($4,750) and 2905 Eddy ($6,815); both described as non'general funded.
- An agreement with Prime Carpentry LLC for CHIP rehabilitation work at 32 McClure in the amount of $48,830 (non'general funds). Meeting discussion included a typographical correction clarifying one item as CHIP rehab.
Commissioners moved and approved the package of agreements by roll call. Staff stated which items used general funds and which were non'general; the board approved the corrections before the roll-call vote. The meeting record does not include detailed scopes of the hazard control or CHIP work beyond the location and contract amounts.
The approvals authorize staff to finalize contracts and proceed with the listed repairs and rehabilitation work. No additional conditions or timelines were recorded during the Aug. 7 vote.
