Commissioners reject bids for Pullen Bridal pedestrian bridge, authorize re-advertisement

The Mahoning County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 11 approved a resolution rejecting all bids for the Pullen Bridal pedestrian bridge improvement project (project number 542) that had been received on Aug. 6, 2025, and authorized the purchasing director to re-advertise the work.

County staff identified the item as resolution f and said the rejection authorizes rebidding; staff also noted the action follows certification of delinquent utility/service charges elsewhere on the agenda. No bid protest reasons or dollar figures for the rejected bids were discussed during the meeting.

Commissioners approved the resolution on a roll call vote with the packet of resolutions a through g.
