Commission approves development order for Trane storage facility on Aberdeen Loop

The City Commission approved a development order for a Trane US Incorporated storage/laydown facility on Aberdeen Loop (parcel 11528551000). The applicant will build the site in two phases: Phase 1 is a 265,780‑square‑foot storage area; a future Phase 2 would add 209,864 square feet and require a separate development order.

Planning and engineering staff reported the site’s stormwater and landscaping requirements have been met and that the project had received unanimous recommendation from the Planning Commission. A public commenter asked whether the design accounted for 100‑year storm events and the effect on downstream homes; the project engineer responded that the design meets the city’s 100‑year storm standard and that the team has submitted permits to the regional water management district.

The Commission voted to approve the development order and directed staff to finalize permitting and building‑permit processes. The approval allows Phase 1 construction to proceed subject to normal permitting and inspection.
