Monroe County commissioners approved an agreement with High Tank to split the cost of encasing a private utility line discovered during the Sunrise Greetings Court road extension project, authorizing payment from the Local Road & Street Fund (1169).
County staff said the private line serves only High Tank and crosses a newly constructed section of Sunrise Greetings Court. To protect both the new road and the pipe, crews encased the private line during the project and negotiated a cost split with the property owner. The county record presented an amount of $44,900.20 for the county’s portion of architectural veneers and plywood (item described in the agreement); the transcript shows a figure rendered as $44,900.2 in one line and the presenter confirmed project closeout activities including striping, seeding and cleanup.
The agreement states that any future maintenance, road cutting or boring related to the private line will be at the property owner’s expense. Commissioners approved the agreement by voice vote, 2‑0, and said the road should open within a couple of weeks with a ribbon cutting to follow. No change to county maintenance responsibility was proposed.
