Okaloosa County School District staff presented a one‑year agreement with PT Solutions Holding to provide licensed athletic trainers and treatment services for the 2025‑26 school year, saying the contract preserves in‑person medical coverage for student athletes after Andrews Institute elected not to continue services in the district.
The agenda item describes the term as 08/11/2025 to 08/12/2026 and was presented by John Spolsky, assistant superintendent. "The athletic trainers have...been an integral part of our OCSD family," a board member said, and district staff thanked employees who worked to secure the new partnership after the Andrews Institute announced it would not continue the local program.
Board members asked whether trainers would be present at sporting events; staff said the agreement covers high school events across sports and adds middle school football coverage. "High school and middle school. And what I'll say is that...we now have these is, wonderful," a board member said in support. For middle schools the district said the coverage is for football only; high school coverage will be provided across sports but trainers may be assigned to multiple events on a given night.
The item was presented as an agreement "under the same terms and conditions" and was included in the agenda package; the workshop transcript does not record a board vote on the new one‑year agreement.
