Planning board moves to reconsider approval for 1219 Park Avenue development; city attorney says order clarifies conditions

The Sanford Planning and Zoning Board moved on Sept. 8 to reconsider an earlier approval related to a development at 1219 Park Avenue so the board could clarify the conditions attached to the approval.

City Attorney Green told the commission that the board’s motion to reconsider was procedural; it was made and seconded at the planning-board meeting and continued to the next meeting to resolve questions about the precise conditions the board intended. Green said an order has been drafted that, in her view, clarifies the conditions and that the property owner is not barred from signing the order. Eileen (planning staff) was present and staff said the explanation and order should streamline the process and avoid later misunderstandings that would slow permitting.
