Final change order reduces Third and Fourth Street project by $25,575; final contract $1,827,805.58

The City of Lafayette Redevelopment Commission approved a final change order for the Third and Fourth Street conversion project that deducts $25,575 from the contract with Milestone Contractors. Staff said the previous contract amount was $1,853,380.58 and the final contract amount will be $1,827,805.58.

A motion to approve the deduction was moved, seconded and approved on a voice vote. Staff indicated these are the final numbers and the change order is reflected in the claims presented at the meeting.

Why it matters: the final contract reconciliation reduces the project’s contract total and concludes the contractor closeout accounting in the city’s project records.

What’s next: staff will finalize contract closeout and process final payments per the updated contract amount.
