The Village Board approved an easement vacation plat for Lots 87 and 97 in Phase 5 of the Wolf Crossing subdivision.
The Zoning and Code Enforcement Officer said the proposed plat was submitted by the property owner and that approval by the board would complete the village's role in the vacation process. Staff told trustees that, at present, the village had not received plans to construct on either lot and that no construction permits would be issued until all utility companies sign off and legally terminate their rights to the easement being vacated.
Trustees moved and seconded the item, and a roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes; the motion passed. The meeting record did not indicate any immediate building plans, a purchaser, or a timetable for development.
The easement vacation completes the local approvals needed before utilities can formally relinquish rights; only after utility signoffs would private development activity proceed.
