HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — The Hollywood City Commission on Sept. 3 read a proclamation recognizing September 2025 as Hunger Action Month, honoring local hunger‑relief organizations and acknowledging the scale of food insecurity in South Florida.
The proclamation cites Feeding South Florida’s work and local partner Community Enhancement Collaboration (CEC). Vice Mayor Idelma Quintana read the proclamation; Nadine McCray, founder of CEC, and Gabby Gomes, grant coordinator at Feeding South Florida, accepted the proclamation and described local activities.
