Castro told the audience the district is exploring creative options, including expanded parking and revised drop-off configurations, and would confer with Business Services and maintenance leadership (Dr. Ho and Dr. Coronel) about engineering solutions. She also encouraged parents to bring the issue to the city council and said the district would provide support and follow up with parent groups.
A parent and a community member explained how ticketing is sometimes issued by the same enforcement officer and described concerns about mailing procedures for tickets; a district representative said parents who contest mailed tickets can sometimes prevail depending on process compliance by the issuer.
Castro asked staff to follow up on parking proposals and to report back to parents; she said limited facilities and funding constrain immediate large-scale changes but that the district will pursue practical, lower-cost options where possible.
