Councilor Lynn described the agreement as "the contract with the Senior Citizen Center for the $100,000 that we allocated to them for, or through the budget," and said funds will be distributed quarterly with the nonprofit providing quarterly financial statements to the city.
During discussion, several councilors praised the organization and noted the city's goal, established during budget talks, was to direct the appropriation to meal and meal-delivery programming. The council confirmed the funds will be disbursed quarterly and subject to financial reporting requirements.
A motion to approve Resolution 25-45 passed by voice vote with no amendments. City staff said the contract restores regular support to the senior center and noted the city will monitor quarterly reports to confirm funds are used as intended.
