Council approved a renewal of last year’s lease with the FRST Volleyball Association to use the City of Orange Recreation Center. Staff said the association’s prior six-month lease generated more than 5,500 visits to the rec center and recommended keeping the same terms: a six-month lease from Dec. 1 through May 31, shared weekday evening use (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and Sunday-afternoon practice access, with events scheduled individually.
Staff told council the association had requested three volleyball tournaments in early 2026. Council approved the renewal by recorded aye votes and staff will proceed to finalize the agreement.
