The City Council of Orange gave final approval Sept. 9 to an Economic Development Corporation infrastructure grant agreement for the 7 Brew project at 3131 North Sixteenth Street. Staff described the site as the former Ayers Allstate building, which the developer has demolished to prepare for construction of a quick-service coffee and drinks shop called 7 Brew.
At the meeting, the presenter said the project "is located at the former Ayers Allstate building. They have demoed that building. They're going to be bringing in a new, quick service coffee shop there. So, it's called 7 brew." The resolution authorizes an infrastructure grant in an amount not to exceed $350,000; staff noted the item had satisfied the required 60-day waiting period after the first reading on Aug. 26 and this action would allow the developer to execute the agreement.
Council voted in favor of the resolution in the open meeting; the presenter said staff would notify the developer to sign the agreement following council approval.
