The Des Moines County Board of Supervisors approved routine financial and personnel items Tuesday, Aug. 19. The board approved accounts payable claims totaling $580,385.57 and a payroll or payroll‑reimbursement item discussed during the meeting (the transcript included an unclear figure for payroll; staff recorded the payroll claim on the public docket). The board approved the claims by roll call. The board also approved the annual liquor license application for Country Treasures LLC after Sheriff Lundinning reported no issues. The sheriff told the board that “everything seems to be in order.” Personnel actions approved included an unpaid leave (8 hours on Aug. 13, 2025) for Andrea Holmes, a public health nurse; four terminations/seasonal final dates for conservation seasonal employees (Grant Swanson, Aaron Keyhole, Trevor Galinski and Kendall Colter) consistent with end of seasonal appointments; and a 6‑month anniversary pay increase for correctional officer Rayanne Henderson from $50,072.77 to $51,364.11. All personnel items were approved by voice/roll call as recorded in the meeting transcript. The board also accepted routine departmental reports (court and sheriff fee reports) and approved the minutes of its Aug. 12 meeting.
