Polk County approves plans and cost estimate for Lower Greenway stream restoration

The Polk County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to adopt plans, specifications, a form of contract and an estimated cost for the Lower Greenway Stream restoration project following a public hearing at which no members of the public spoke.

During the meeting the board confirmed proof of publication for the public hearing and, after hearing no public comment, closed the hearing and the board moved and seconded the resolution. A roll-call vote followed; Supervisors Holmes, Hawkinsmith, Connelly, Altringer and McCoy each recorded “yes.”

The resolution authorizes publication of the contract documents and establishes the county’s estimated cost for the project, advancing the county toward procurement and contracting steps. The transcript does not include the dollar estimate or detailed engineering specifications; those appear in the plans and contract documents on file with the auditor’s office.
