Planning staff reported on June 17 that consultants working on Sutherlin’s parks master plan are preparing outreach strategies aimed at broad community participation, including in-person events and a survey.
Staff said consultants toured local parks, plan to attend a summer festival to observe use patterns, and will circulate a survey using a QR code to gather resident feedback. The meeting record states staff hope to have the survey QR code ready for promotion and that the consultants will attend the commission’s July 1 meeting in person.
Staff named Roslyn and Terry as participating in the master-plan update process and described the consultants’ outreach objectives as collecting a wide variety of opinions and ideas to inform park strategies. No formal action or funding decision for the master plan update was recorded at the June 17 hearing.
