Sutherlin council adopts updated public contracting rules (Ordinance 1101)

The update implements required compliance language drafted by the city attorney, raises dollar thresholds where appropriate, clarifies electronic advertising and noticing practices and expands sole-source procurement criteria. The finance director reported she coordinated with the city attorney and the finance committee to arrive at modified thresholds while implementing the attorney’s compliance verbiage.
Councilors voted in favor on second reading and adopted the ordinance as presented; no substantive amendments were recorded in the meeting.
