The Williamsville Central School District Board of Education voted unanimously Sept. 9 to approve a separation agreement and general releases discussed in executive session, including the resignation of an identified staff member effective Sept. 1, 2025.
Board member Michael Rosalia read the resolution aloud at the public meeting: "I move the adoption of the following resolution. Resolve that the Board of Education of the Williamsville Central School District upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools hereby approve the separation agreement and general releases discussed during the immediately preceding executive session, including the resignation of the identified staff to become effective as of 09/01/2025." The motion was moved by Mr. Manna and seconded by Miss Poulin, and the board president announced, "Motion carries unanimously."
The board took the personnel action after a brief executive session held earlier in the meeting to discuss "employment matters relating to particular persons and proposed litigation," the president said. Because the discussion occurred in executive session, the board did not discuss details of the agreement or identify the employee during the public portion of the meeting.
No further public action on the item was taken; the board’s minutes and personnel records will reflect the approved separation and the effective resignation date.
Looking ahead, the board returned from executive session and resumed its public agenda, including routine recognitions and a community update from Superintendent Brownhall.
