County Judge Jason Stuck read a proclamation declaring Aug. 31, 2025, International Overdose Awareness Day in Marion County and called for community remembrance and action to reduce overdose deaths.

The proclamation said Marion County recognizes the “harm and hardship caused by drug overdose” and affirms support for people affected by overdose. The text referenced that "more than 388 Arkansas residents" died from overdose during the year referenced in the proclamation.
